SPECIALIST O&M ADVICE AND ROUTE 2020, RTA, DUBAI

Specialist O&M Advisor

TMA have been providing Operational Specialist and Maintenance advice and consultancy services on behalf of Aecom within the Rail Agency of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai for the past 8 years. The services provided include:

  • Developing options for the organisational structure of the Rail Agency and Safety Regulator, O&M, Planning and Development, Right of Way, and HSQE departments

  • Development of job descriptions within the Rail Agency

  • Development of guidelines and procedures for the Rail Agency

  • Investigation processes and procedures including reporting structures and maintaining independence of investigations

  • Development of guidelines that are provided to operators from the Rail Agency that inform operators of their requirements

  • Development of audit procedures.

Route 2020

​

Working on behalf of Aecom, TMA have been responsible for the overall operational conceptual design of the RTAs route 2020 plan and are now leading on planning, design and operational delivery of the new railway that will link the existing network to the EXPO 2020 site and the new international airport at DWC. This includes the overall project management lead on day to day operations and maintenance planning and delivery of the extensive event planning and management required as part of the world expo event.

Using our team’s extensive experience in delivering and enhancing public transport systems around the globe we are now working with RTA to develop and implement a programme of continuous improvement to develop the public transit system within Dubai and in line with the UAE government’s 2030 ambitions for the city, and have successfully achieved:

  • Redesign and writing of the transportation master plan

  • Design and implementation of smart innovation making Dubai’s transport network fit for the future

  • Design and implementation of the value engineering protocols maximising “time on tools” for maintenance whilst reducing impact on operational delivery

  • O&M incident response and investigation

  • Time-table planning and implementation

  • Advanced competency management system design and audit
